    steroids

I have used deca for the past 4 years and I have actually gotten healthier, stopped being hospitalized, I no longer have chronic colds year-round and am able to maintain weight and muscle mass. I am curious as to why there have not been studies for CF patients and steriod use to weight the benefits and negatives of it's uses. There are other conditions out there for which Steriods are used, but why not in our case?

i'm not Dr. Taylor, but I know steriods can have bad side effects. As far as I know, there have been studies, and they've found the bad to outweigh the good in most cases.

Well, I am a user (7 years and counting) and have not had any adverse effects. You have to do your reasearch though, know what you are using and how to properly use it as well. You also have to Cycle on and off them and give your body a rest inbetween. They are only illegal in the US, nowhere else.

No, it's not like the RX stuff prednizone that would give you a moon face. All in all, it could have the same effect with extended use and high doeses, but thats where you have to know how to cycle on and off and the doses.

I thought that I would give 'roids a try a while back for the the reasons you have stated, I decided not to because I didn't want to further my risks of not being able to father children. What has your lung functions remained like through your usage?Luke, 145lbs benching 215

Luke, no the name isn't Jose but thanks for the support. I haven't had any reproductive issues as a result of the roid usage, and if it's that big of a concern to you, have you considered having a semen aspiration done now and freezing it? There aren't a lot of scurrent reproductive studies on roids though, so I have considered doing what I just mentioned to you. I have even brought the roid subject up with my doctors, but non of them are willing to support me in it, even though I am healthier now that before I ever got on it, and they say there's now way I should be as healthy as I am and muscular too. But I guess it's just a big liability with them as doctors. 6ft,185lbs, benching 310

OH, forgot about the lung functions. They are usually slightly better when I am using. The go from the normal at 80/85% to 90% and I have less infections and time on antibiotics while I am using. I feel it also helps maintain the standard lung function of about 80-85% for me. They have been at 75% but that was before I started using, so I feel they are very beneficial.
