HI,

I jsut recieved my repirtech vest this afternoon and now have no use for my hillrom 104 vest. I could keep it at my moms for when we visit but I think that it could serve a much better use helping out a family that isnt able to get a vest due to various reasons. So if you know anyone who cant get a vest and is wanting one please have them message me. I really hope that I can help a family out.

Thanks,
Alisha

Yey Respirtech!!!!

I kept my HillRom 104 Vest for when I travel to Europe (the only disadvantage for the Respirtech is that it doesn't have the built in transformer)

Better check with your insurance if the old vest is actually YOURS to give away. It might only be leased from a durable medical company. If that's the case then you can't just do with it as you please.

from what I understand if it is under lease they will periodically call and check on you note your hours used etc as I looked into this on mine and you can also go to the website for your health insurance and it showed they paid mine off in full at the time so it is officially 'mine' just like a neb cup or anythign else.

That's how mine worked, too.

Oh, if you do sell it, don't forget about the actual vest part- you will need to order one for whomever you sell it to (since they are free to the "owner" ). Hopefully, they will be really close to your size, or else they may have to buy a vest anyways ("Yes, I know I have been ordering an adult medium, but now I need a child small" might sound a bit odd ...lol).

Hi,

Yea mine was acutally never on a lease. My insurance paid outritght what they were paying for it. I have never been contacted about my hours or anything. Yes I plan to get whatever the new owner needs for the vest I have 3 vest to go with it but they may need different sizes.

Hello, I have a niece with a real need of this machine, she is currently in Monterrey Mexico and even though it is the state with the best doctors and hospitals they donīt have this special vest/machine she needs, she keeps getting infeccions every 2 to 3 months. we have tried to get her across the states but they wont accept her in any hospital because she is not an american citizen. we really dont know what to do at this point we are getting desperate. would you sell the machine in 2 payments? we have around 1000 How much do you want for it?. you keep the machine until we completly pay it off. I live in Arizona my e-mail is [email protected] I would really appreciate a response. if it is possible we could even try to get the money to pay it off sooner because she really needs it. thank you.
