My sinuses have always caused me great misery & pain. I have had at least 10 massive surgeries on all four sets of sinuses. Several to save my life and sight. The last in 2000 was an frontal obliteration that had complications. I now have a large painful bump on my forehead. It looks like I have two noses! It is now too dangerous to operate again. My ENT watches closely in case they become dangerous again. I've tried many, many treatments that have failed. Anyway I'm a very experienced sinus suffer.
I have used night time oxygen since age 19, but now find myself becoming more reliant on it as my lungs get worse, but it is so irrating to the my cheeks. It drives me crazy. I have to pick between my sinuses or breathing. They are so DRY & nothing I do seems to help!
Please do any oxygen users have any suggestions about how to get moisture in them? I really need help! So far I've tried.
XClear nasel spray.
Room Humidrier,
Humidifier hooked to oxygen,
Ayr nasil gel,
Water pic.

Thanks,
Faith w/CF33

I have sinus problems as well but only have 7 sugeries under my belt (including two frontal sinus obliterations). I use the humidity hooked to the oxygen but that was not enough to keep my sinuses from being irritated and bleed.

My ENT suggested I use Eucerin cream as it is water based (I have been told that any water based cream could be used and a nurse suggested KY).

Good Luck to you
