How many of you have a vitamin defiency? Last year I was told I had Vitamin D and C; and have been taking supplements to keep them at decent levels. A few months ago my Zinc was too low for the dr and she started me on supplements for that as well. I was just told that I have an iron and "severe" B6 defiency...

I take a multi every day and also take a B complex. In addition I take Vit C and D and zinc...I'm adding(as of tonight)iron and b6.

Do many CFer's have a problem with absorbtion?

M has serious vitamin deficiencies at this point. He's on individual A,D,E,K and zinc. His zinc is up to 50mg per day and his vitamin K keeps getting upped because neither of those numbers are budging. His vitamin A only comes in a preparation which is supposed to be administered IV and we have to pop the sealed vial apart to give him orally. And, the pharmacy keeps having fits that we need 8 boxes of vitamin E to get through a month. Oh, and he's on a Flintstones along with the individual vitamins, and Omega 3s because I figure it can't hurt him and he probably needs all the help he can get.

His vitamin levels started dropping first of this year. We're concerned its a sign of liver progression and they haven't recovered nor stabilized yet. Hopefully we'll get this all worked out. But yeah, he's having serious vitamin level issues.

Just to update. I had another appointment last Friday and my primary Dr has reccomended IV vitamins. They are also thinking I'll have to continue this once a week, but they want to run some more tests first! Next week I get the every day for 5 days!!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"> My drs are concerned b/c of have other health issues and they have no idea which one is causing this problem. I appreciate the responses!
