my doc is trying to get me to gain weight and so far its not working, i eat like a pig and most of it should have my arteries clogged by the time i'm 40, by all aspects i should be rediculously fat, but, of course, cf won't let me. As a way to gain weight i was thinking of working out to build muscle, it'll make me hungry, muscle mass will make me weigh more, and i'll look better. Has anyone tried this, is it possible? i'm asking before i go spend however much money on a gym membership and spend the time it'll take

How much do you wiegh and how often do you eat? I think that when you are underwieght, it is a LOT harder to put on the pounds. When a person of normal weight eats, a couple hours later their body goes to their fat stores for energy. If you don't have these fat stores, your body breaks down more muscle fibers. The trick is to always be in an anabolic state....and to do that you need to eat every 2-3 hours. It doesn't have to be huge meals....just enough so your body doesn't have to go to it's own stores for energy.

Working out also helps a lot, just make sure you eat more to compensate for the amount of calories you burn. But you are right, you will have a greater appetite, and you will put on weight....if you stay ANABOLIC.....
