Actually I do take karate.I just started in January.I take Kenpo Karate, in Texas (San Antonio more specifically) Kenpo is actually a different style of karate not just regular karate... if I'm explaining that right.Currently I'm a white belt, should be testing in another month for my orange belt.I think it's fun too, great to work out the upper body I've found. Alot of physical exercise and fun. As long as I just stop thinking :-P I have a problem with that when doing the techniques. I think about them beforehand and usually that's what causes me to mess up. But I'm learning.

cool, I went with Kenpo because I heard that it's more based in why you do what you do during the techniques and all that. Makes more sense to me if I have a reason to do this or do that. Besides the sifu/simu that I have are awesome people. I decided to join almost immediately after I met them. I have no regrets about it Actually I didn't post before now because I didn't see the topic. I was just randomly browsing today and saw it. Do you have plans to stop at any particular belt color, or do you plan on going onto black belt? How long did it take you to get to green belt? Oh and btw, how old are you I'm 19 :-P

Cool. I'd like to go onto black belt, I'm not sure if I'm going to or not. At this stage I feel really uncoordinated I hope though that after a few more months that feeling goes away. Congrats on getting to brown

Yeah, don't worry. The feeling eventually goes away. It's very cool when you can show off your awesome moves and then look at the lower belts and think...was I ever that uncoordinated?

I take Shotokan classes. I'm a brown belt and there are only three belts: white, brown, and black. Its an intense workout. Does anyone else study shotokan?
