View Full Version : Update on me

There is no easy way to say it, but the my biggest fear came true.

I went to the doctor on Friday and the ultrasound this time didn't even show a fetus (the last one did) just a sac and the placenta. So they prescribed me some pills that would "clean out" my uterus in 4-6 hours. I decided to do that because letting it happen naturally could have happened in a few days or a few weeks, and to do a D&C has it's own risks. (I don't know who it was that said it in my last post, but I'm a little irritated too that the ER doc offered a D&C to me rather quickly, especially knowing that this other option was out there.) I took the pills Friday night and Saturday I felt like absolute crap. I'm doing MUCH better today, which is suprising since it's Mother's Day. I just have the greatest family and they took good care of me.

My husband and I are trying to look at the positives. One, that at least we know we can do it now. It took so long to get pregnant that we were beginning to think we couldn't. And two, I know that being in the best health I possibly can will only help the situation. Not that I wasn't okay this time, but this just gives me more motivation!

Oh I am so sorry. Things happen for all sorts of reasons at that early stage. I am sure you have heard that a thousand times by now, but it does not make it easier to grasp. YOu just get used to the idea that it happened and then to get this to sink. Tough stuff. Good luck. Hang in there.

Lindsey, I am so sorry to read of this. My heart just sank when I started reading. I am so very sorry for you and your husband. I know how hard you two were working towards this.

I will continue to pray for you and think about you. You will be a mother, you will, I just know it! Keep as positive as you can.

Sorry Lindsey. I'll continue to pray for you and your emotional and physical healing. How long did they suggest you wait before ttc again?

Oh, I am so sorry!<img src="i/expressions/brokenheart.gif" border="0"> This does happen a lot with first pregnancies, so please take comfort in that it is not unusual and keep up the "focusing on the positives". I will be praying for you.

I was hoping the ER doctor was just a quack. I am sorry!

I am very sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage last year and I understand how heartbreaking it can be. (((HUG)))

Lindsey,

I was hoping for different news. I'm so sorry for your loss. Words can't even explain how unfair life is sometimes. I'm thinking about you.
