I just got this in an email. NTM stands for Non Tuberculosis Mycobacteria.

"We are pleased to advise you that on Tuesday afternoon NTM Info & Research was notified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that Amikacin is being released to the market by the main manufacturer and will be available to pharmacies any day.

If you are still in need of this drug please have your provider place their orders.

Although the interruption of supply has been a great hardship for some patients, we applaud the FDA's diligent work with manufacturers and continued open communication with NTMir about their efforts.

Sincerely,

Philip Leitman
President"

WooHoo! Thanks, Tiffany! I'm calling clinic today. Sensitiviy results showed this as the best choice for Andrew and I've been hoping more would be available soon.

Thanks also, Jeanne, for the article!
